 Welcome!

Troop 500 serves the Point Loma and Ocean Beach neighborhoods of San Diego, California. The Troop is chartered by Saint Agnes Church and is a member of the San Diego-Imperial Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Troop meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights at Saint Agnes Parish Hall at the corner of Evergreen Street and Avenida de Portugal in Point Loma. Each year the Troop has numerous exciting and educational outings:

  • Canoe/kayak trips on the Colorado River
  • Hikes in the Grand Canyon
  • Overnight and longer backpacking trips
  • Summer camps on Catalina Island and Mataguay
  • Fishing and camping on San Clemente Island

Troop 500 also 'gives back' to the community through a variety of troop and eagle community service projects including park repair/restoration projects, tree plantings, flag ceremonies and assistance at local community events.
